원불교에 대한 기여도 높여야

Education is a key element in Master Sotaesan's plan for the order and its practitioners. The Won Buddhist Studies department at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies is eager to be of assistance by providing educational opportunities that also provide edification and opportunities for spiritual development.
At this crucial time in its history, the Institute really needs the support and interest of Won Buddhist kyomunims and lay members. It must make the transition from a small, unknown school with new programs and only a few students and faculty members to an established institution for professional education with a reputation for excellence and caring for the balance of mind-body-and-spirit of its students. Especially, the Won Buddhist Studies program needs to increase its contributions to the community.
We would like to know what we can do for you and your lay members. We would like very much to provide online courses, with well-known teachers and topics, for the edification and support of your mission.
We have also considered providing help with English, such as access to the Korean site that teaches English pronunciation through a scientific system.
We would like to create a web site and blog for American members across the country to keep in touch and share awakenings and concerns.
If any of these suggestions would be helpful to you, please let us know. If you have other ideas about what you would like the Won Institute to do, we hope you will share them with us. The WBS faculty - Dr. Chung Nam Ha, the department chair, Rev. Sanghyeon Cheon, and Dr. Carole Craven - are eager to hear from you and to talk with you about the wonderful work you are doing and our dreams for the future of Won Buddhism in America.
과거에도 언급한 바가 있듯이 우리 미국인들이 믿는 바는 미국에 있는 모든 원불교 기관들이 미국에서의 원불교 교화 발전을 위한 창조적인 방안을 강구하기 위해서 합력하는 일이 매우 중요하다는 사실입니다. 영성계발을 위해서 의미 있는 길을 모색하는 미국인들을 끌 수 있는 프로그램이나 이벤트를 통해서 영성의 혁신을 가능하게 도울 수 있습니다.
교육은 원불교 교단과 교도들을 위해 소태산대종사의 계획에서 가장 중요한 요소입니다.
미주선학대학원의 원불교학과는 영성계발에 도움이 되는 교육을 하고 그런 기회를 마련하는 일에 적극적으로 합력하고자 합니다.
이런 중요한 시점에서 미주선학대학원은 원불교 교무님들과 교도님들의 지원과 지지가 절대적으로 필요합니다.
출가 재가 교도들의 확실한 지원과 지지는 작은 규모의 새로운 프로그램을 운영하는 알려지지 않은 소수의 학생과 교수진이 이끌어가는 학교라는 이미지를 벗어나 학생들의 마음 몸 영성의 조화를 위해 잘 도와주는 교육기관이며 우수한 학교라는 평판을 받는 전문인재 양성기관으로써 잘 설립된 교육기관이라는 이미지를 갖게 할 것입니다.
특히 원불교학과 프로그램은 원불교 공동체에 대해서 그 기여도를 높여 가야 할 것입니다.
우리는 원불교 공동체와 재가 교도들을 위해서 우리학교가 무엇을 해주기를 바라는지 알고자 합니다. 우리는 원불교 교화와 원불교 공동체의 미션을 지원하기 위해서 잘 알려진 교수진과 주제로써 온라인 코스를 제공할 것입니다.
우리는 또한 교무님들의 영어실력 향상을 위한 방법, 즉 과학적인 시스템을 활용하여 영어발음을 가르치는 한국 사이트에 접속할 수 있는 방법 등을 강구하고 있습니다.
우리는 미국 전역에 걸쳐 있는 미국인 교도들이 서로 연계하여 수행체험과 관심사를 나누도록 하기 위해서 웹사이트와 블로그를 만들 것입니다.
만약에 이러한 제안들이 원불교공동체의 출가 재가 교도들에게 도움이 된다면 우리에게 알려주시기를 간청합니다. 만약 교무님들이나 재가들이 미주선학대학원에서 해주기를 원하는 바가 있다면 우리들과도 함께 의논해 주기를 우리들은 희망합니다.
