B : I saw that article too. Apparently when she was young she was too poor to get an education and that always lingered in her, so now she's donating money so that others won't have to go through the same experience.
A : What a wonderful gesture. If it were me I probably would have spent the money on something else.
B : If our education system is not active then our world's civilization will not develop. That woman is truly someone with an open mind who goes beyond the limits of herself and others.
A : 신문 봤어? 김밥장사 할머니가 평생 모은 돈 수억 원을 어떤 학교에 기증했다는 얘기 말이야.
B : 나도 봤어. 어렸을 때 너무 가난해서 못 배우신 것이 한이 되어 다른 사람들은 그러지 않았으면 하는 마음에서 그렇게 하셨다면서.
A : 정말 대단한 일이야. 나 같으면 다른 일에 그 돈을 썼을 거야.
B : 교육이 활발하지 못하면 세상의 문명이 발전하지 못하겠지. 그분은 정말 자타의 국한을 벗어난 넓은 마음을 가지신 분이야.
